Project Overview

As Charlotte, NC's local contractor, we were able to build exactly what the homeowner and her parents needed, by adding an in-law suite to her property. Working closely with one of our top experienced architects, we designed and built a functional space featuring two bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and a screened porch overlooking a new pool. This project showcases our commitment to enhancing living spaces with style and value, tailored to our clients' needs.

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge:

Pouring concrete during the summer months can be challenging due to high temperatures, which can indeed cause the concrete to dry or cure too quickly. This rapid drying can lead to several problems, including cracking, reduced strength, and poor surface finish.

Solution:

We had to intentionally schedule pours during the early morning or late evening hours to avoid the peak temperature times.

Challenge:

Another hurdle was ensuring the space was both functional and reflective of the homeowner and her parents' personalities, making it truly feel like home.

Solution:

This required a thoughtful balance between maximizing the available space and infusing personal touches that resonated with the family. It was a journey of collaboration and creativity, and in the end, seeing their satisfaction was incredibly rewarding.
