Quail Hollow Powder Room with Baby Blue Chair Rail
Project Overview
The homeowners reached out to us saying “We have a half bathroom downstairs that needs to be renovated. The bathroom is very dark. It needs paint, new fixtures, etc.” Our designer created a moodboard for the powder room to modernize and brighten up the space. The design goal was “scandinavian royalty” with a simpler approach. This was done by installing a shaker navy blue cabinet, white quartz countertop, unique floor tiles, and a baby blue chair rail.
It all started with their powder room, a small but impactful renovation that set the tone for what was to come. Soon after, we were asked to design and build a covered pavilion as their second project, and about a year later, we had the privilege of completing a full master bathroom renovation. Three projects, one vision: creating spaces that elevate daily living.

Challenges & Solutions
Challenge:
One of the challenges encountered during this project was the need to level the floors, initially presenting a noticeable step-up of almost 1.5 inches at the project's outset—a feature the homeowners were particularly displeased with.
Solution:
To address this, our solution involved a comprehensive approach: upon demolishing the existing setup, we discovered and removed an extra layer of flooring. This allowed us to install entirely new floors, achieving a seamless transition from the hallway to the powder room, much to the homeowners' satisfaction.
Challenge:
One of the challenges we encountered was to introduce detailed trim and chair rails that would integrate with the existing design. Our goal was to elevate the room's aesthetic while ensuring that it blended with the overall style, creating both a functional and visually appealing space.
Solution:
To address this challenge, we used the technique of color drenching on the lower half of the walls, complemented by a contrasting color on the upper half. This approach not only enhanced the room's dimensions but also added a visual contrast that enriched the overall space.
