A letter from our CEO

At DGK Design + Build, family isn’t just part of our story, it’s the foundation of everything we do. My father, Dmitriy, laid that foundation early, teaching us that a family business done right is like a symphony: complex, challenging, but ultimately beautiful. He instilled in us the values of trust, communication, and excellence, showing us that when a family works together, we can go further, build better, and serve others in a deeper way. Today, that legacy continues with eight Kishko family members working together alongside our incredible team to bring that same dedication to every project.

We’re a young, growth-minded team that’s always looking for ways to improve. From business systems to construction science, we’re constantly testing new ideas to make the process more efficient, better quality, less stressful, and yes, even enjoyable. We bring new products and innovations into our clients’ homes, and we refuse to get stuck in old habits. For us, success comes from adapting to the world as it changes while staying true to our values.

A big part of that comes down to communication. We want to be known for having the quickest and clearest communication in the area. In practice that means daily client updates, weekly overviews, and a customized app for setting clear expectations. Our project managers aren’t overloaded so they can respond quickly, usually within the hour. We do daily walkthroughs, flag potential concerns before you notice them, and even if the news is tough, we believe it’s always best to share it early and directly.

And ultimately, for us, a renovation isn’t just about new finishes or layouts, it’s about making everyday life at home flow better. A well-designed space should feel natural to live in, with fewer frustrations and more room to enjoy time with the people who matter most. The real reward for us is knowing the homes we build bring lasting comfort and value to the families who trust us.
