Luxury Quail Hollow Country Club Master Bathroom with Steam Shower

Project Overview

The homeowners were an absolute pleasure to work with—always appreciative of updates and easy to communicate with whenever anything came up. Their positive attitude made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. For this master bathroom remodel in Charlotte, NC, we completely reimagined the space to blend luxury, function, and comfort. The homeowners wanted a spa-like retreat, so we installed custom vanities—one featuring a built-in coffee station for the ultimate morning convenience. The new steam shower provides a relaxing, at-home spa experience, while the freestanding tub adds a sleek, modern touch. To enhance privacy and functionality, we created an enclosed water closet and enlarged the window overlooking the private backyard, bringing in natural light without compromising seclusion. We also redesigned the master closet, incorporating custom shelving and elegant sliding barn doors for both his and hers. To complete the transformation, we redesigned the fireplace mantle in the master suite, adding warmth and elegance to the space. As one of Charlotte’s best remodeling companies, we specialize in high-end bathroom transformations that elevate your everyday living.

We could not say enough about our experience with DGK! From the moment we met with them to the day they finished they were nothing but professional. The design was beyond what we could have imaged and the quality of the work was excellent. We will definitely be using them again!

Challenges & Solutions

Challenge:

Limited Space for the Steam Generator Installing a steam generator requires a discreet yet accessible location, but space was tight. There were no side rooms to house it, and placing it in the attic wasn’t an option due to potential exposure to the elements.

Solution:

Smart, Space-Saving Design To maintain a clean, seamless look, we carefully integrated the steam generator inside the vanity. This smart solution ensured easy access for maintenance while keeping the overall design sleek and uncluttered—preserving both function and style.

Challenge:

Awkward Window Placement The bathroom’s original layout featured a window positioned uncomfortably close to the toilet, creating a privacy concern for the homeowners. While natural light is a key design element, this particular placement wasn’t ideal for a relaxing, spa-like experience.

Solution:

Framing a Private Water Closet To solve this, we framed in the toilet room, creating an enclosed water closet for added privacy. During construction, we  covered the window, creating a more intentional, private, and seamlessly integrated space with the overall design.
